1. Aston Martin One-77
Aston Martin is a two-seater sports car designed & developed by British car manufacturer Aston Martin. The look of the car was first revealed at Paris Motor Show in 2008 however, the full car was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in 2009. The production of the car was limited to only 77 units by the company. And one among the 77 is in Dubai Police fleet of supercars.
The car is priced at $1.87 million and is powered by a 6.7 liter Cosworth V12 engine and has a top speed of 220 mph (350 km/hr). And the car reaches 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. The car has been renowned & awarded by many international automobile organizations for its unique design.
2. Audi R8
Apart from the Dubai Police force, you might have seen this car driven by Iron man ( Robert Downey Jr.) in Marvel films. Audi R8 is a two-seater sports car designed & manufactured by German’s high-performance car manufacturer Audi Sport GmbH ( a private subsidiary of Audi AG ).
The car is powered by 5.2 liters naturally aspirated V10 engine & has a top speed of 207 mph ( 333 km/hr). Dubai Police Force has added two Audi R8 in its patrol fleet.
3. Bentley Continental GT
Bentley Continental GT is a 2+2 seater long-distance high-speed sports car designed & manufactured by Bentley Motors in 2003. The car was first unveiled at Geneva Motor show in 2003 & the vehicle is powered by a 6.0 liter twin-turbocharged W12.
4. BMW i8
BMW i8 is a hybrid electric sports car designed by Benoit Jacob & manufactured by BMW. The car was first unveiled at International Motor Show in Germany in 2013. BMW i8 has a top speed of 75 mph ( 120 km/hr) in an all-electric mode which is powered by a 98 KW electric motor & 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. This makes the car to be a perfect member of the Dubai Police fleet of supercars.
5. Bugatti Veyron
Bugatti Veyron is designed by Volkswagen Group and manufactured by Italian car manufacturer Bugatti Automobile S.A.S. Veyron has been awarded as the Car of the decade (2000-2009) by BBC. The car has a top speed of 267.856 mph (431.072 km/hr). In 2013 Dubai Police added Bugatti Veyron to its fleet of superfast patrol cars.
6. Chevrolet Camaro SS
Chevrolet Camaro is also called a Pony car or Muscle car. The production of the supersport concept car started in early 2002 & the company has sold out over 5 million units of Camaro.
7. Ferrari FF
Ferrari FF is a four-seater four-wheel drive grand tourer hence the name FF. The Italian car manufacturer unveiled the car at Geneva Motor show in 2011 & has sold 2291 units of FF till 2016. The car has a top speed of 335 km/h (208 mph) & was named “ Most Beautiful Super Car “ in 2011 by Chinese magazine “ Car and Drive’.
8. Ford Mustang GT
Ford Mustang GT is a two-seater concept car designed & developed by American car manufacturer Ford. The car has received a five-star rating for side, front & rollover protection from National Authority Traffic Safety Administration.
9. Hummer H3
Hummer H3 is a 5-door SUV or a 4-door pick-up truck designed & developed by General Motors from 2005 to 2010. The vehicle is an off-road SUV with a maximum towing capacity of 3000 lbs (1,361 kg). In 2006 Dubai Police added this monstrous car to the patrol car fleet.
10. Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4
Lamborghini Aventador is named after a fighting bull. The car is a mid-engine sports car manufactured by Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini. It was first unveiled at Sant Agata Bolognese & was launched at Geneva Motor Show in 2011. The car is powered by a 6.5 liter V12engine with a top speed of 217 mph (315 km/hr), thus making among one of the cars used by Dubai Police.
11. Maserati Granturismo
Maserati GranTurismo is a luxury grand tourer with high speed and high driver comfort. The car is manufactured by Italian automobile company Maserati. Granturismo was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in 2007. The car has a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/hr). These cars is used by Dubai Police since 2019.
12. McLaren 650S
McLaren 650S is a luxury sports car designed & developed by McLaren Automotive, a British automobile company. The luxury car was first unveiled at Geneva Motor show in 2014. It is powered by a 3.8 twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a maximum power output of 478 KW & top speed 207 mph (333 km/hr). These cars are used by Dubai Police since 2016.
13. Mercedes-Benz AMG
Mercedes-Benz AMG is a two-door, two-seater sports car that is designed & developed by Mercedes AMG GmbH, an independent luxury performance car unit of Mercedes Benz. The car has a mileage of 12.65 km/ltr with a 4.0 liter V8 Biturbo engine
14. Nissan GT-R
Nissan GT-R is a luxury sports car unveiled first at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2007. The car is a two-door, two-seater luxury sports car even classified as grand tourer powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. According to the manufacturer, the car has the capability to attain a top speed of 196 mph ( 315 km/hr). This car has been awarded as the “ Car of the Year” in 2007 by Top Gear. In 2016 Dubai Police added this supercar to its patrol fleet.
15. Porsche 918
Porsche 918 is a mid-engine, two-seat, two-door plug-in hybrid sports car manufactured by Porshe, an Italian automobile manufacturer. This car is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine with two electric motors of 210 KW at the front and rear axle. The car was first unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in March 2010 and has a top speed of 218.4 mph (351.5 km/hr).
16. Rolls Royce Wraith
Rolls Royce Wraith is a luxury handmade grand tourer. This supersport car was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in 2013 designed by Tiles Taylor. The vehicle is powered by a BMW 6.5 liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with a power output of 465 KW. It was added to the patrol fleet od Dubai Police in 2017.
17. Lexus RC-F
Lexus RC is a two-seater two-door luxury compact executive car designed and developed by Lexus, a luxury division of Japanese car manufacturing company Toyota. RC-F was first unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show in 2013 & is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine.
18. Tesla Cybertruck
Cybertruck is a six-seater four-door hybrid electric pick truck powered by lithium-ion batteries designed by Elon Musk-led Tesla Inc. The car was unveiled in November 2019 & the production of the pickup truck will begin in early 2021. This electric-powered Cybertrack is said to have a range of 400-800 km in a single charge.
Though the production of Cybertruck is likely to begin in 2021 Dubai Police has shown an overwhelming interest in this car by posting an edited image of Tesla Cybertruck on Twitter & is likely to add this pickup truck to its fleet.
